Dr. Udeshika Yapa Bandara is currently working as a Research Scientist in Sri Lanka Institute of Biotechnology. She completed her B.Sc. Human Biology (Special) degree at Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She obtained her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. Her research interest include, cancer molecular biology, biopharmaceuticals and natural products. Dr. Yapa Bandara has been a member of SLAYS from the year 2017 and work in the organizing committee of SLAYS. She has been among the semifinalists in SLAYS 3MT in 2018.
