Dr. Miruna Rabindrakumar is a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Biomedical Science, Faculty of Science, NSBM Green University. She obtained her PhD in the field of Biochemistry & Molecular biology from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. Her educational background includes MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, at the Faculty of Medicine, Colombo and BSc Biotechnology with first-class honours from the University of Pune, India.

She has been awarded the National Science Foundation (NSF) postgraduate research scholarship and also she was the recipient of travel awards from the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) and NSF. Her primary research interests lie in the fields of nutritional biochemistry and Nutrigenomics.
